About Us

Working in travel has been a dream of mine since I first stepped foot into France 25 years ago while studying French in Cannes. I fell in love with not only exploring new places and cultures, but introducing others to those same places. Since attending culinary school in Paris, I have paired my love of food and France by crafting countless itineraries for fellow foodies while also running a successful baking business*. In 2026, I decided to hang up my apron and pick up my planner full-time, expanding a side business into full-time luxury travel advising. I have partnered with Departure Lounge, a Virtuoso affiliate, to bring my clients the best possible experience.
*Pink Slip Gourmet started in 2008 when the financial crisis hit and the hedge fund I worked for was no longer in need of many of its employees, including yours truly. While looking for a job, it dawned on me that I would rather wake up every morning and be elbow-deep in dough than spend my day in an office building. So, I took the plunge, started my own baking business and aptly named it Pink Slip Gourmet. I spent a year in Paris living my dream: attending culinary school, working at a restaurant, and eating my weight in croissants. Before returning to the states, my husband and I found out we would be bringing home a French souvenir that was the first of three children. Building a baking business as they grew was exactly what I needed. Now that they are older, I am ready to have baking be my hobby and get back to traveling the world.
