Recent Paris Hotels Stays (3, 4 and 5 Star)

I recently spent eight days in Paris and, in the name of research, changed hotels four times. I do not recommend that.

I do recommend reading what I thought about all four, so you are ready the next time you get the urge to hop a flight and eat your weight in baguettes and salted butter. And, if you are anything like me, that is roughly every other Tuesday.

Hôtel des Grands Hommes (3 Star): I didn't just like this hotel, I LOVED it.  It does not present at all like a three star hotel and instead felt like a four star hotel.  The room was large for Europe and beautifully decorated.  The staff was helpful and friendly.  The location was fantastic.  Learn more here.

Hôtel Nuage (4 Star): This hotel near the Presidential Palace was, unfortunately, my least favorite of the trip.  The staff was friendly and they did have a couple macarons waiting for me in my room which I appreciated, but the hotel was showing wear and tear and had very little charm compared to the other properties where I stayed.  Truth be told, it felt much more like a three star than a four star property.  If it had been billed that way, I probably would not have been as disappointed. This experience proves why it is important to work with an advisor who truly knows these properties.  What you see on the internet is not always what you get!  And no one wants to plan a special trip and arrive disappointed.

Château des Fleurs (5 Star Boutique): What a lovely experience I had at this hotel!  If you want elegance in an intimate setting, this is it.  Plus, they have wonderful family friendly room options.  Learn more here.

Mandarin Oriental Paris (5 Star): The way I felt at peace in this hotel was truly special.  They do an excellent job of making guests feel important and taken care of all while providing a gorgeous backdrop. Learn more here.
